As I mentioned last weekend, the Franklin High School football team must go undefeated the rest of the season to make the playoffs. They kept their slim hopes alive last night, knocking off Kenosha Bradford.

As you can tell by the name that I created yesterday at about 4pm, I am a proud fan of our student athlete.  Unfortunately, I don't get to as many games, meets, and matches as I would like to, but as with everything, you must prioritize.  Last night, I decided to spend a night with my family instead of making the long drive, so I missed the big game.  Congratulations to all of the football players.  Hopefully, you now realize that you can be a playoff caliber team.  The odds are in Bradford's favor that they will get at least one more win and make the playoffs.  Don't be satisfied with being able to say that you beat a team that made the playoffs with a winning record.  This is the seniors last year and although most of them were on last year's state champion team, I know that their goal is to still make the playoffs; which is still possible.  For the younger players, finish the season strong so that you can carry the momentum into the offseason and next year.  It was a great win, but remain focussed on your goals.
