A naked Brit swims in the moat of the Imperial Palace in Tokyo

Picture this…

The home of the Imperial Family of Japan.

Just minding their own business in their Palace.

A palace that rarely has visitors.

And a large, naked British tourist decides to skinny dip and rock climb in the moat that surrounds the palace.

Just a typical day in Tokyo, right?

Well, no…

They Are Not A Tragedy...They Are Massacres

By Janet Evans

Another school shooting...Not a tragedy…a massacre.

This time in Finland.
Today one student killed killed ten others, and then himself (of course, he turned the gun on himself; coward).

Of course, neighbors said he was “quiet.”

A masked student went on the rampage at a Finnish school Tuesday, methodically gunning down 10 people before turning the weapon on himself, a day after police quizzed him over a chilling YouTube warning.

Young women screamed as the 22-year-old shooter stalked the corridors of the vocational college in a ski mask and black outfit letting off round after round at helpless students before starting several fires, witnesses and police said.

The massacre in Kauhajoki in southwestern Finland was the country's deadliest school shooting and the second in under a year.

"I heard the sound of shooting and hysterical girls' voices. Then two girls came towards my room and said a weird man was shooting," Jukka Forsberg, the janitor of the school, told AFP.

"I went to see and saw a guy leaving a big black bag in the corridor and going into classroom number three and closing the door.

"I looked through the window and he immediately shot at me," he said, adding, "Thank God I was not hit! He fired at me but I was running zigzag. I ran for my life."

Forsberg said he heard "horrible screams of pain" as he raced out of the building.

The shooter has been identified as a second-year culinary arts student Matti Juhani Saari.

Sure... there were advanced warning signs (a video).

I blogged last November about  Terrorism in American Schools:  The First of ALL Fears

It’s worth a second look.

Also, New Berlin is going to be installing high tech video equipment in their school district, just approved this past month.

I also blogged about schools using high tech video systems last November,

Smile Kids, You're On LIVE Camera.

An article came out last week in "Campus Safety" for educators that states there are between 2,000-3,000 camera "systems" out in the schools throughout the country right now.  (Making the Leap To IP Video - A Safer Bet.   www.campussafety.com (Sept/Oct 08).

Since Franklin Public Schools are so close to the House of Correction, with the threat of domestic terrorism (that includes from students), and whatever looms ahead from foreign terrorism, I think we need to keep this equipment in mind.

We are currently repairing our track again for $53,000 and have a renovation of the stadium/track in the future plans for over 2.5 million....

We just had a safety program on that track.  Perhaps some safety equipment in the schools might be of benefit.  Just a thought.

Someone Evil Lurks In China

By Janet Evans
Wednesday, Sep 17 2008, 07:59 PM

Two babies with kidney stones receive medical treatment at a military hospital in Lanzhou, capital of northwest China’s Gansu Province, Sept. 11, 2008. China will set up a multi-level treatment system for tainted milk-affected infant patients, with all the grass-root medical agencies well prepared for the "possibly rising cases," the Ministry of Health said on Tuesday. (Xinhua Photo)

…and the world is suffering at the hands of this evil.

So much
illness has been caused.

Death has been caused.

It's horrific enough that humans have suffered.

It's horrible enough that parents worry what to feed their babies.

Back in 2007 this evil began the experiment on pets.

That’s how evil killers often begin..with animals.

Maybe because they are animals themselves.

This animal may be a chemist.  This animal is using melamine and was putting it first in pet food back in 2007.

Now it is being found in baby food and other dairy products such as yogurt in China.

The pet food that sickened and killed pets in 2007 in the United States originated in China.  The hundreds of babies suffering now are also in China.

At first China was apologizing, taking blame…and then the melamine was found.  You can’t take blame for an evil killer.  This thing is huge...you'll read below that it has infiltrated 22 milk companies in China..22!  So where does it begin?

"China Milk Scandal Widens as Melamine Found in Yogurt"

"China's tainted milk scandal widened as melamine was found in products of a second dairy company, after infant formula contaminated by the chemical was linked to 1,253 cases of infant kidney stones, killing two. Wellcome, a supermarket chain owned by Dairy Farm International Holdings Ltd., said it will stop selling ice cream made by Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group after the chemical was found in a sample, according to a statement sent by e-mail late today. The discovery in Hong Kong of the industrial chemical in a second company's products boosts concerns that contamination may be widespread after the Ministry of Health said melamine-tainted milk made by Sanlu Group Co. sickened children. Milk powder produced by 22 Chinese dairy producers, including Sanlu and Yili, were found to have melamine, China Central Television reported late today. "

"Hebei Province, the center of the contaminated baby formula scandal, on Wednesday said it hard received reports of 638 sick infants in one day.

Gao Chunqiu, deputy chief of the provincial health department, told a press conference that 12,510 people consulted medical facilities in the province between midday on Monday and midday on Tuesday, and 638 babies were diagnosed with urinary calculus (stones)."

"China seizes 22 companies with contaminated baby milk powder "

"Chinese inspectors have found the chemical melamine in 69 batches of baby milk powder produced by 22 companies nationwide, the country's quality watchdog said late on Tuesday.

The authorities ordered a halt to the sale of the tainted products which included such well-known brands as Sanlu, Mengniu, Yili and Yashili, among others.

The State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) said test samples came from 491 batches of products sold by all the 109 companies that produced the baby milk powder in the country."

From 2007:
"Melamine in pet food may not be accidental"
"A nitrogen-rich chemical used to make plastic and sometimes as a fertilizer may have been deliberately added to an ingredient in pet food that has sickened and killed cats and dogs across the country, public and private officials say. A leading theory is that it was added to fake higher protein levels.

Melamine has been found in wheat gluten, rice protein concentrate and, in South Africa, corn gluten, all imported from China, and all meant for use in pet food, the Food and Drug Administration confirmed Thursday.

"It adds to the theory when you see other products that are labeled as protein supplements, in this case rice protein, and in South Africa corn gluten and in the previous case wheat gluten," said Stephen Sundlof, FDA chief veterinarian. "That melamine was found in all three of those, it would certainly lend credibility to the theory that this was intentional."

How the melamine got there is "not something we're going to be able to determine until we actually investigate the plants in China," he said."

"ChemNutra, which imported the wheat gluten linked to last month's massive pet-food recall, says it is concerned its Chinese supplier spiked the product. In a letter on ChemNutra's website, Chief Executive Steve Miller said, "We are concerned that we may have been the victim of deliberate and mercenary contamination for the purpose of making the wheat gluten we purchased appear to have a higher protein content than it did." Melamine is "simply not a chemical even on the radar screen for food ingredient suppliers," he wrote. "

Me, Myself and I

What makes those who are locked away believe they have the same rights as those who are on the outside?  As I finish writing that statement I realize how sad it is in this case...a double edged sword.

Josef Fritzel is the 73 year old Austrian man who is in jail awaiting trial for keeping his daughter prisoner in the cellar for 24 years.  While there, he raped her and fathered seven children.  Three of the children had never seen the light of day.

This man is pure evil.  And he is now locked up and afraid he will be harmed…and he should be afraid.

But get this…the poor guy (I don’t mean that) is a little upset.  He’s demanding to be let outside for breaks.  He’s going stir-crazy being locked up.  All he cares about is himself.

Fritzel has got one 19 year old daughter, who he fathered with his daughter who was kept prisoner, who is dying from organ failure.

I wish there was such a thing as being sentenced to life in a cellar with no windows....

Watch…he’ll plead insanity.

Ciao, Signora...No Starch

So this guy meets his ex-girlfriend at a pub in Genoa, Italy (like the salami), they probably throw back a few glasses of Chianti and he takes her back to his place.

Trouble is…it sounds like she might not have wanted to go to his place.  It sounds like she was forced to go there.  Not only that, when she gets there, it sounds like she was forced to do a couple other things against her will, too.

It’s horrific enough to be kidnapped.  But this isn’t your ordinary kidnapper.  This must have been your metrosexual kidnapper.

Just Who "Bears" the Responsibility for this Crime?

By Janet Evans
Saturday, Mar 15 2008, 07:00 PM

Zoran Kiseloski, of Macedonia, did all he could to keep the thief away from his bee hives.

You see, the thief was under a "protection" program...so he could only do so much.

He decided to blast Serbian turbo-folk music, sung by this star, Ceca ~

It worked for a while....

But then the thief came back and stole the honey.

Kiseloski took his case to court and won.

So who had to pay?

Find out on Reuters

Macedonian Court Convicts Bear of Stealing Honey   í  here

I think turbo-folk is a little scary....

If the generator hadn't run out, it might have done the job.

P.S.

C-e-c-a needs some U-p-l-i-f-t

(Yes, I said it)
