In the Race

Now, here, you see, it takes all the blogging I can do to keep in the same place.
If I want to get somewhere else, I must blog twice as fast as that!
You see, I'm in the Red Queen's Race...

Blah-G...Caption Anyone?

White House photo by Joyce N. Boghosian

Okay…I have the Blog Blahs.
So let’s try a caption contest.

I’m a Bush fan…that’s clear.  But I find the humor in Dubbya.

I found this recent photo of First Lady Laura Bush.

I think it's great for a caption contest, it's fitting for the economy too.

Here's the real caption:

"Mrs. Laura Bush plants a Silver Leaf Linden tree during a commemorative tree planting ceremony Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, on the South Lawn of the White House. The tradition of planting a commemorative tree dates back to 1830 when President Andrew Jackson planted two Southern Magnolias on either side of the South Portico of the White House.

Captions from both sides of the fence are encouraged.  All I ask is, don't put anything that would be considered non-NOW compliant.

The winner will be announced Monday morning.

Prize?

The honor of making me…a die hard George W. Bush fan hopefully come out of my blog blahs and find something to laugh about.

I’ve never done a caption contest…

Even without a contest, I thought it was a great photo to share.

Laura Bush asked the crowd, "Is this big enough for Charlie Gibson?" as she dug a hole on the White House grounds.
