In the Race

Now, here, you see, it takes all the blogging I can do to keep in the same place.
If I want to get somewhere else, I must blog twice as fast as that!
You see, I'm in the Red Queen's Race...

I Adored Gilda

A co-worker had her last day at work today.

We always kidded each other about old T.V. shows.  We had the same comedy interests…”I Love Lucy” for one.

Today I brought up Gilda Radner and her character of Rosanne Rosannadanna on Saturday Night Live, back in the 1970s.  My co-worker brought up the character of Emily Litella.

Gilda Radner was one of my all-time favorite characters from what I believe is the all-time best of the years of Saturday Night Live.  She was one special woman.

She was married to Gene Wilder.  Gilda died an untimely death from ovarian cancer.  She was misdiagnosed, suffered greatly, and went through archaic treatments back in the 70s.  I had read a book about what she went through back then.  It was truly shocking.  Gene Wilder loved her very much…and I believe America did too…I think she is one of very few comedians who has successfully been able to model herself after Lucile Ball.

Here are some of the best clips of Gilda Radner from Saturday Night Live.

The Judy Miller Show

Violence On Television

Baba Wawa

Nerd Prom

That was when SNL was GREAT, and the comedians were actually funny!

Gilda was one of the great comedians of that time and she is truly missed.

Even simple things from that time were funny...Land Shark or Mr. Bill.
