Oh, I'm Not Surprised By Oprah

Oprah Winfrey knows all too well what it’s like to be left out.  Remember the big story about Oprah not being let into the store Hermes' in Paris after it had just closed?  There was the cry of racism…there was an apology….drama.  There’s always drama when Oprah is involved.

Now she won’t allow an interview of Sarah Palin on her show.  Not until after the elections are over anyway.  We all know Oprah’s women would love to see that interview.  That’s why she would never do it.

I know Oprah has said she wasn’t going to have any other political candidates on her show after her original interview of Obama.  And it’s her show.  But you know what?  It’s her show…she can change her mind.

I’ve never liked Oprah…and I still don’t.  Sarah Palin doesn’t need to go on her show.  And whether McCain/Palin win or lose, I think Sarah Palin will be too busy after the election to be worrying about Oprah.  Maybe Oprah should just run along and do some shopping.

"Some Winfrey fans say that Obama's appearance on the show at all -- regardless of the timing and his political aspirations during his visits -- are irrelevant and that Winfrey's decision to blacklist Palin from her show could very well backfire. "I don't think most people even care about the timing [of when Obama went on the show]," Grossman-Green said. "They just know Winfrey is pro-Obama and that she had him on. "

"Halfway through Monday's premiere of "The Oprah Winfrey Show," the talk-show host addressed the incident in June when she was turned away from Hermes' Paris boutique. Winfrey was denied entry after arriving at the posh store 15 minutes after closing time — even though others continued shopping inside.

"I just want to say shame on anybody for thinking that I was upset for not being able to get into a clothes store and buy a purse," said Winfrey. "Please, please."
