The statement from federal officials contradicts a letter sent this week by the office of state Attorney General Roy Cooper."

Feds: College OK for illegal immigrants ç here
~~~~~~~~~~~
I’m a bit mystified as to why illegal immigrants are allowed to be admitted into colleges and universities.
The first question that comes to mind is, don't you need a social security number to attend school as a resident of the United States? A foreign student would have a temporary visa or student visa allowing them to attend. Just what documentation are these students showing?
Next, illegal immigrants may be taking a spot at a college or university that could be going to a resident of the United States. And, usually housing is limited on college campuses.
Finally, is anyone subsidizing college tuition for the illegal immigrant students? Illegal aliens do not qualify for state or public benefits. An illegal immigrant can't legally get a job to work his/her way through college...they don't have a social security card, or birth certificate/passport for identification in order to show in order to get a job. Just how is their college education being paid?
This doesn't make sense.
Does it?
