After attending the Franklin Common Council Meeting last night, sitting through the citizen comment period, and listening to the tape, specifically the sections that referred to the famed Boomgaard District, I happened to see the agenda for the last 27th Street Steering Committee Meeting (below).
I have to tell you, that after reading it, I thought it appears that there was a lot of tooting of horns from people on the Committee. Also, maybe they would have liked it if some citizens had come and joined them for a change, just to see what was going on. There was a citizen comment period, by the way.
The whole thing ...the comments made last night, the Steering Committee and the arrogant group, the circus surrounding everything...just popped one old Dick VanDyke Show scene into my mind. Maybe you can relate some actual public figures to the actors/lyrics in the video.
Enjoy!
