In the Race

Now, here, you see, it takes all the blogging I can do to keep in the same place.
If I want to get somewhere else, I must blog twice as fast as that!
You see, I'm in the Red Queen's Race...

Stop the Insanity

By Janet Evans

It is bad enough that when I have a cold and want to purchase certain types of cold remedies at the store I now have to show my drivers license and give my signature.

This inconvenience because drug users choose to make meth out of cold remedy ingredients.

So, when a pharmacy has been closed, I have had to suffer with symptoms until the next day because an over-the-counter drug that used to be on the shelves is now locked up, instead of the criminals.

Now, a Chicago City Council wants to ban certain small plastic bags because they are the type that drug dealers use to pedal small quantities of drugs.

These are the types of bags you see attached to clothing that have extra buttons in them, or bags that might have repaired jewelry put into them.

Once again, businesses and the general, law abiding public are supposed to make concessions because criminals are out of control.

Once again, something legal...this time a plastic bag...must be banned, in order to thwart crime.

Once again government must micro-manage the lives of good people because it can't seem to manage a way to fight criminals.

It's time to stop the insanity.

Government needs to stop taking the easy way out.
